Are you in 7th grade or above this year? Then you will be ready for Scouting’s ultimate adventure. Philmont is an experience that every Scout should have at least once. Philmont is the world’s largest youth camp, consisting of 140,180 acres, or about 220 square miles. There are 315 miles of trails, 35 staffed backcountry camps and 770 campsites. And 682 is going in June 2017 for a 12 day trek.
You’ll have a great time even if backpacking isn’t your favorite – there is something fun for everyone, from horseback riding, to black powder rifles, to blacksmithing, to just looking at the amazing stars.

There will be a $100 deposit. However, as long as we have at least 8 Scouts and 6 adults signed up, it should be refundable. Total cost will be about $1,300 for the 12 day trek including all meals and transportation to and from New Mexico.
