Congratulations to Shona for District Award of Merit

Please join me in congratulating Troop 682’s own Shona Wigley, who just received the District Award of Merit. Mrs. Wigley was one of only three Scouting volunteers in the whole district (Poway, Penasquitos, Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Sabre Springs) to get the award! In addition to helping 682 and supporting Amy and Caitlin, she is a Den Leader in Pack 624 for her son David; she is the Popcorn Colonel for the District (a full time job by itself!); she ran the Cub Scout Day camp safely in person; and she organized a series of Cub Scout “Zoomerees” that were attended by Cub Scouts (literally!) around the nation. And no doubt there’s more that I have forgotten. Scouting and 682 is very lucky to have Shona. Thank you and congratulations. Mr Dickson |
