Troop, Please join me in congratulating Ethan Eschbach, Troop 682’s latest Eagle Scout. He completed his Board of Review this afternoon. (I am hoping this is the last Zoom BoR!) Ethan has been a big part of the troop for the last seven years, and we are all very proud of him. Best, Mr Dickson

March 22, Troop 682 had a special visit by Ms. Lisa Nichols, a retired Senior Special Agent (like the FBI for wildlife) for US Fish and Wildlife Service. She also worked as a National Park Ranger doing Search and Rescue, and as a Customs Inspector. Ms. Nichols educated us by telling stories of her many cases of stopping criminals trying […]

Check put the cool project Ethan is doing for his Eagle rank: Utility posts at Poway Community Park

It disappoints me to report that over the weekend of January 2-3, someone broke into the trailer and stole some of the troop’s equipment. Mr Collins and I went through the trailer and determined that at least the propane tanks, the turkey fryer and gas campfire, the water jugs, the toolbox, several tents, and the axe were all missing. We […]

The meeting, […]0October 5, 2020

Our First In-Person Meeting in Over Seven Months!

On June 8th, 2020, despite not being able to meet in person, the troop held a virtual cooking competition. The task was to make an edible batch of pancakes using a mystery ingredient you parent gave you. Fortunately, no First Aid was required throughout the whole meeting!
